The Ministry of AYUSH and the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare jointly announced a large-scale expansion of AYUSH integration within India’s public healthcare system.
Under this initiative, Ayurveda, Yoga, Siddha, and Homeopathy services were integrated into district hospitals, community health centres, and medical colleges across multiple states.
The government emphasized strengthening classical Ayurvedic education, upgrading hospital infrastructure, and promoting evidence-based traditional treatments for chronic lifestyle diseases.
The initiative also encouraged AYUSH colleges across India to enhance clinical exposure for students, standardize Panchakarma centres, and participate in national-level research on integrative medicine.
This move represents a significant milestone for Ayurveda, ensuring wider reach, stronger academic frameworks, and increased employment opportunities for Ayurvedic graduates.
