The Ministry of AYUSH launched “AYUSH Aapke Dwar,” a nationwide initiative aimed at distributing medicinal plants to households and educating citizens about home-based Ayurvedic healthcare.
Over 3 million saplings of Tulsi, Ashwagandha, Giloy, Amla, and Lemongrass were distributed in rural and urban communities across India.
The program motivated families to grow medicinal herbs at home and encouraged youth to understand Ayurveda’s preventive health approach.
The initiative also invited Ayurveda colleges and hospitals to participate in awareness camps, plantation drives, and educational outreach — strengthening the connection between traditional medicine and public health.
It marked a major step toward making Ayurveda a household practice across the nation.
